Gisa Golpira
Gisa Golpira grew up in Peru and spent her childhood walking in the jungle and climbing trees. There were no roads, electricity or neighbours.
Her mother, a gold prospector, gave Gisa the first gold nugget she ever found to wear around her neck.
The feeling of possessing something precious and untouched remained with her and was the inspiration for her own jewellery practice.

twenty paintings on paper
“The coastline of Cornwall has always been my inspiration, the amazing light, the huge and ever changing skies and beautiful dramatic coastline. In my paintings I hope to exude a calmness in the use of colour and line, and build an atmosphere which draw you in and allows you to imagine yourself there, stood on a cliff, a beach or behind the dunes, exposed to the elements and the unpredictability of nature."
